The booking is preliminary until it is confirmed to you via email. Our Customer Service needs to verify that your electric vehicle is one of the testable models. The booking confirmation will be sent via email after it has been processed.
A booking request for a battery test must be made seven days in advance. Please ensure you book well ahead of time. The booking is managed via the booking system. You can reschedule or cancel the test via “My booking” in the confirmation email. Select “pay at station”.
How the booking works
How do I book a battery test? Booking is simple and takes place digitally. You enter the car’s registration number, select the desired test type, and book a time at a station that suits you.
DEKRA offers two different battery test solutions:
- A faster readout for those who want an overview of the battery’s estimated performance.
- A patented and independent test that provides a detailed and transparent analysis of the battery’s health, State of Health (SoH).

How long does the battery test take?
The test usually takes 3–15 minutes, depending on the test solution and vehicle. You do not need to leave the car for an extended period.
Results you can trust
What do I receive after the test is completed? After completing a DEKRA Battery Readout, you will receive a clear but simple report showing the battery’s estimated performance. For our patented DEKRA Battery Test, you will receive a detailed certificate showing the battery’s actual health, SoH. The test report is delivered digitally via SMS or email from DEKRA’s customer portal.
The result of the DEKRA Battery Test is independent, comparable between different car models, and can be used as documentation for sales, purchases, or your own monitoring of the electric vehicle’s battery.
