Through a collaboration between DEKRA and MRF (Motorbranschens Riksförbund – the Swedish National Association of Motor Trades and Repairs), affiliated car dealers gain access to DEKRA’s independent battery test for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids – under favorable terms. The solution has been developed to meet the increasing demand for transparency and reliability when trading used electric vehicles.

Two Battery Tests – Tailored for Trade
DEKRA offers two complementary battery test solutions for MRF dealers:
- DEKRA Battery Readout
A quick and comprehensive readout of the high-voltage battery’s estimated performance.
- DEKRA Battery Test
An in-depth and completely independent battery test with a quality-assured certificate that measures the battery’s State of Health (SoH). The test is comparable across different car models and focuses on the most valuable component in an electric vehicle – the high-voltage battery.
DEKRA Battery Test is patented in 38 countries and validated by RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
SaaS Solution for MRF Members
The battery tests are offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. This means that as an MRF dealer, you can perform the tests on-site using DEKRA’s system.
The solution includes:
- Access to the test platform.
- Ongoing software updates.

- Discounted agreement for MRF members.

Part of DEKRA’s Long-Term EV Initiative
DEKRA is making long-term investments in battery testing and electrified mobility. In 2025, an advanced battery test center was inaugurated at Lausitzring in Germany – a central part of the development of DEKRA’s battery tests for electric vehicles in traffic.
